Faith, Not Fear

Isaiah 41:10

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Have you ever wondered if God is with you?

Sometimes, it can feel like we are walking alone through life. It may seem like God isn’t present or has abandoned us. The nation of Israel experienced these feelings; amid the pain of their exile, they cried out to God. He responded to them through the prophets, who offered encouragement and hope because of God’s promises. We must always look to God’s promises, especially when we experience life's challenges.

God is omnipresent; he walks with us through every season. When we seek to live by his will, he will give us the courage and strength to walk according to his plans. As we face adversity, we can trust and lean on him. He will sustain and uphold us with his righteous right hand. God’s right hand signifies strength, capability, and victory.

This promise offers us hope, comfort, and assurance. God wants us to know that he is always with us. He sees every tear and hears every prayer. Our faith will enable us to move in the direction he desires. We must not fear because he goes before us and will never abandon us. We serve a mighty God; no situation is too complicated for him. Just as God used Israel's adversity, for his greater purpose, he will use ours to strengthen our faith and for his glory. In his presence, we will find renewed strength and peace.

Father God, there are times I become anxious or worried. I confess any fears that I have to you. As I read your word and sit in your presence, please give me strength and peace through the challenges. Thank you for always being with me. I pray for those facing hardships that they, too, will seek you and find comfort in your presence. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
