The Battle Lines Are Drawn
How important is your worldview? Did you know it determines who you are and how you look at the world? It also determines how you view God. To the atheist, there is no god. To the humanist, man is god. To the postmodernist, whatever you want God to be is god. To the polytheist, whatever you want to be God is god, and you can have as many gods as you want. To the Bible believer, there is only one God, and He is the Sovereign Ruler over the heavens and the earth, a God that all are accountable to, a God who sets the moral standards, and will one day judge the world. The biblical worldview conflicts with all other worldviews because they oppose truth. The alarming thing is that there are some “Christians” who openly and unashamedly embrace these ungodly worldviews. What? How can that be?
The Apostle Paul understood the importance of worldviews. Speaking to the Church, in 1 Timothy 4:1, he said, “The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.” Paul was saying there are some in the church who call themselves Christians and have fallen away from the faith. Instead of being led by the promises and exhortations of God, they are following ungodly worldviews taught by demons and deceiving spirits and are being led straight to hell! Beloved, when you reject the authority of Scripture, you will succumb to the influence of the ungodly culture around you, even to the point of endorsing such things as same-sex marriage, transgenderism, feminism, abortion, and other humanistic views. Jesus said in Matthew 7:21, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” The battle lines are drawn…what’s it going to be for you? It’s God and His eternal Word versus the world and its godless philosophies! What does your worldview say about YOU?
