Are You Ready?
Are You Ready?
Did you know that Jesus is coming for His church, and His return is imminent; it can happen at any moment! In Revelation 22:7 Jesus proclaimed, “behold I am coming quickly.” The word He uses for “quickly” is the Greek word “tachy”; this is where we get the word tachometer. It means swift or speedy, and when used in the context of time, it means suddenly or without delay. Three times in Revelation 22, Jesus uses this word to describe His coming. (Revelation 22:7, 12, 30).
Mark 13:32-33 says, “But about this day or hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come.” And again in Luke 12:40, “You also, be ready, for the Son of Man will come at an hour you do not expect.”
Beloved, are you READY for His return? Have you believed the Gospel and turned from your sin and turned to Jesus for rescue from the wrath of God and the second death? (John 3:16). Have you surrendered your life to the ultimate commitment of the disciple – dying to self, taking up your cross, and following Jesus? (Matthew 16:24). Do you live every waking moment waiting, longing, and yearning for that day when “the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God.” (1 Thess. 4:16)? Oh, what a glorious day that will be! Praise the Lord!
Beloved, Jesus is returning, and His return will be sudden! Are you on guard? Are you alert? Are you READY?
