Reasons to Rejoice
What blessings can you thank God for today?
This bible verse is recognized as a celebratory praise. The passage originated as part of a praise for worshipers who participated in a feast to express their gratitude to God. This psalm was part of a Hebrew praise song. It was recited in remembrance of God's great love and deliverance from their enemies.
Today, believers in Jesus can rejoice and be glad because we live with victory and triumph. Death has been conquered through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Anyone who confesses with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believes in their heart that God raised him from the dead, will be saved (Romans 10:9). When we proclaim him as our Lord and Savior, we rejoice because we have the assurance of heaven, the promise of his provision, and will experience his unconditional love.
Every day that we have breath, is a gift. Tomorrow is not promised, therefore, it’s imperative that we live each day to honor God with every part of our being. We should be joyful despite difficult circumstances. Each day offers new opportunities and God promises us new mercies every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). We ought to proclaim his faithfulness and celebrate the incredible gift of salvation made possible by Jesus. Despite challenges the day may bring, this is the greatest reason to always rejoice.
What are you doing each day to glorify God?
How can you reassure someone who may be feeling discouraged?
Father God, thank you for your faithfulness and the gift of salvation. Help me to live my life every day with a heart of gratitude and share the good news with those around me. I want to make the best use of every day and commit my time, talent, and treasure for your glory. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
