New Creation
Isn’t God's creation just so beautiful? Join with me as I take you on a trip through the corridors of time to the origins of the universe as we know it, where we find, from before the foundations of the world. God, in the beginning, created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Did you see Him? Did you see who's standing right there at the doorway of eternity? Why, it's God Himself? Hallelujah!
Beloved, when Moses wrote these words in Genesis, chapter one, he wasn't defending the existence of God; rather, he was assuming His existence, and so should you. God has always been there from the beginning. He'll always be there in our lives, even now, whether we recognize Him or not. And He will be there at the end of our lives. Proverbs 9:10 says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.” It's understanding. When we fear God, that is, when we reverence Him. When we hold Him in the highest esteem. When we put him in His rightful place in our lives, on the throne of our hearts. When we recognize our spiritual poverty before Him, and cry out to Him. When we tremble at His every word. This is the person that God respects. Does that describe you? Oh, and it gets better! The person who fears God in this way, God promises to convey a knowledge of Himself more intimate, more deep than we can ever imagine or think. And it's the knowledge of Jesus Christ and Him crucified! “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
Oh, beloved, the Spirit of God is hovering over your heart right now. God wants to do a new work in you. He wants to make new beginnings. He wants to make you a new creation in Christ Jesus.
