Worthy of All Praise

Psalm 106:1

Praise the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.

How do you demonstrate thankfulness and praise to the Lord?

In the United States, the Thanksgiving holiday will be celebrated by families gathering together to count their blessings. It is a time to remember that there is much to be thankful for. God is and has been so good to all who enjoy the liberties of this nation. He ensures we have the provisions necessary to sustain us. If we remain constant in our belief and praise of our Creator, we can stand firm on His promises to bless us because He never lies. The Lord’s faithfulness is displayed in countless ways for all to see. (Lamentations 3:23-24).

Knowing this, may we come to the Lord with a grateful heart and prioritize to thank Him daily. His provisions are evident, as is His abundant love for us. God’s unconditional love can never be taken from us; it's eternal. Romans 8: 38-39 (NIV) says, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” We are undeserving of His love, yet He offers it anyway. Furthermore, He extends mercy and grace in good measure. His love for us never fails nor changes. This truth alone is worthy of all praise! We must never take His love for granted; instead, we are to offer Him the recognition and honor He deserves.

In what ways has God shown his love to you and blessed you?

How often do you take time to thank God for all He’s done for you?

Father God, thank you for everything you provide. Above all, thank you for your abundant love. No one loves me like you do. It is an ever-encompassing agape love. Please help me never to take it for granted. Please cultivate a heart of gratitude by demonstrating my praise in the way that I show love to others. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
