To the Righteous Voter: Remember to Pray
To The Righteous Voter: Remember To Pray
In light of the recent national elections, what would God’s message to America be if He were to speak audibly to us today?
In I Timothy 2:1-2 (NIV), the Apostle Paul wrote to the churches, ”I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people, for kings and all those in authority…”
Beloved, God’s message to America today is to PRAY for our president, our federal, state, and local leaders, and our nation! No matter how good or bad they are, no matter what political party they may be, no matter how conservative or liberal they are, no matter how moral or immoral they may be! Our country is in desperate times; we are on the brink of no return!
As Kansas Pastor Joe Wright declared to the Kansas House of Representatives years ago: “America is a country that calls evil good. We ridicule the absolute truth of God’s Word and call it pluralism. We worship other gods and call it multiculturalism. We endorse perversion and call it an alternative lifestyle. We exploit the poor and call it the lottery. We reward the lazy and call it welfare. We kill the unborn and call it a choice. We neglect to discipline our children and call it building self-esteem. We abuse power and call it political savvy. We pollute the airwaves with profanity and call it freedom of expression. We ridicule the time-honored values of our forefathers and call it enlightenment.”
Beloved, the single most important action we can do for our nation and its leaders is to fall on our faces and PRAY! O God, we have sinned against you! Forgive us! Have mercy on America!
